53L0-SATEL-I1 Range & Gesture Sensor Satellite Boards
The 53L0-SATEL-I1 satellite board is based on the VL53L0X ranging and gesture detection module using FlightSense™ technology. This technology allows absolute distance to be measured independent of target reflectance. The VL53L0X precisely measures the time the light takes to travel to the nearest object and reflect to the sensor (Time-of-Flight).
This unique satellite board form ST Microelectronics can be used for easy integration into customer devices and basic gesture detection applications. Due to the nature of the product, its 2.8V regulator alongside its level shifters can be used in a range of applications that have a 2.8 to 5V supply.
Another innovative feature to this product is its PCB design, the VL53L0X module is perforated allowing for developers to break off the mini PCB for use in a 2.8V supply application using flying leads.
