Need a tamper-proof safety device? This electronic safety sensor from Schmersal features an individually coded sensor and actuator for enhance protection against tampering. It can also compensate for misalignment between the actuator and sensor for uninterrupted operation. The safety cables are monitored for wire breakage and external voltage surges, enhancing the reliability of the product. A strong thermoplastic housing offers good resistance to abrasion, dirt and moisture to keep the unit in optimal working condition.

What size screws are needed to mount this sensor?

To assemble this sensor along with a flat-mounted actuator, a 25mm screw length is usually sufficient. When mounting the actuator upright, it's recommended to use screws with a length of 30mm.

Schmersal RSS36 Non Contact Safety Switch

The RSS36 electronic safety sensor with unique diagnosis meets the highest safety requirements, even when series-wired. It also features new coding functions for the uniform allocation of the actuator to the sensor, this is realised through the integrated RFID technology. The RSS36 has three different coding variants to enable an optimal conformation to the required protection against tampering. The universal mounting features and the optional latching function provides a smooth and rational integration in separating safety guards.
