The bare wire junction, welded tip and 0.025 mm ultra-fine gauge wire leads all promote a fast thermal reaction, giving you results in a fraction of a second. This combination of sensitivity and speed leads to an exceptionally high level of accuracy in your readings, as the thermocouple is able to quickly measure changing temperatures.
