This solenoid interlock switch is a guarded-door safety device designed to prevent access while hazardous machinery is moving and to permit release only when a control voltage is applied. It combines a mechanical locking action with an electrically driven solenoid to control access after machine stop, and is intended for industrial automation and machine safety installations where monitored door locking is required.

What conduit options are available for installation?

The unit accepts PG13.5 conduit entries with an additional vertical conduit opening for alternate routing and the unused opening can be sealed with a conduit cap to preserve protection.

How does the lock behave during power loss?

The mechanical lock remains engaged until the auxiliary release key is used
models with solenoid locking will unlock if the solenoid supply is removed so do not use them where lock retention is required when power fails.

What electrical monitoring outputs are provided?

The device includes safety contacts for door status and lock monitoring using NC and NO arrangements and separate monitor circuits suitable for connection to auxiliary safety relays.

What operating conditions affect durability?

The switch is rated for mechanical durability of at least 1 million operations and electrical durability of 500,000 operations under specified resistive load and environmental limits.

Notes

Actuators must be purchased separately. Stock no. 746-7208 incorporates an easy-to-see indicator for monitoring.
