This RS PRO barrel type sensor can determine the distance, absence, or presence of an object by using an adjustable light transmitter and receiver, so you can accurately control the sensing range.
The sensor has a housing made from nickel-plated brass for resistance to wear and corrosion. It has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP67, which means it's shielded against dust and temporary immersion in water. It has a dual colour light-emitting diode (LED) status indication to make it easier to use and visible red light to help you align the sensor.
