RS PRO A4 Stainless Steel Dome Nuts
From the trusted RS PRO brand, these dome nuts are ideal for applications where it is desired to hide or cover the end of a projecting screw thread. The dome shape can eliminate the possibility of snagging edges, which is ideal for capping off flexible threaded rods. The dome has a hexagon flange which is ideal for both hand and tool tightening for the application of appropriate torque. This flange also may eliminate the need for a washer to distribute the pressure of the nut.
The dome nut is made of A4 stainless steel, marine-grade stainless steel that has excellent resistance to corrosion and is suitable for almost any environment. Components made from A4 stainless steel are suitable for use in surgical and underwater applications.
