Honeywell SPS Series (SMART Position Sensor)
The SMART Position Sensors (SPS) are a simple non-contact design sensor which helps to eliminate mechanical failures, reducing wear and tear, improving reliability and durability, and minimizing downtime. It senses the position of a magnet relative to the sensor and is available in various sensing ranges.
They can accurately and reliably determine the position of a magnet attached to a moving object by using a patented combination of an ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) and an array of MR (magnetoresistive) sensors.
